Global Innovation for Pueblo's Local Needs
Daikin is a name that might not be as familiar as some other HVAC brands in the American market, but they're actually the world's largest manufacturer of heating and cooling equipment. Founded in Japan in 1924, Daikin now operates in over 160 countries and owns some of the most advanced HVAC manufacturing facilities in existence. When they acquired Goodman in 2012, they gained a massive footprint in the North American residential market.
What sets Daikin apart is their inverter compressor technology. While most traditional HVAC systems use single-speed or two-stage compressors that cycle on and off, Daikin's inverter-driven systems continuously adjust their speed. Think of it like the difference between a light switch and a dimmer — the system finds exactly the right output level and maintains it. In Pueblo's climate, where mornings can be chilly and afternoons scorching, this kind of precision prevents the energy waste that comes with constant on-off cycling.
We started installing Daikin systems about eight years ago when the brand began pushing more aggressively into the Colorado market. Since then, we've seen their equipment perform exceptionally well at altitude. Their ductless mini-split systems in particular have become a go-to recommendation for older Pueblo homes that lack ductwork or have rooms that traditional systems struggle to keep comfortable.
